Mission
We will provide the best, roomiest and most convenient fitness center to residents and visitors of the Big Bear Valley area. We aim to provide a full line of best-in-class personal training options, instructor-led classes and the necessary equipment that will enable our members to achieve their fitness goals with a non-intrusive, customer-focused work ethic.
Chris Wolfe – President
Chris is a retired corporate executive with over 30 years running successful business operations. He and his wife, Lorraine, have had a place in Big Bear Lake for nearly 9 years and have lived full-time in the area for the past three years. Chris has always been an avid lover of the outdoors and a fitness believer. He boxed in Golden Gloves when he was younger, trained and ran in several mini-marathons and a biathlon, and since retirement, he’s hiked the entire 230 mile John Muir Trail four times, finishing twice in under 15 days.
Tony Swearingen – Operations Manager
Tony is a long-time Big Bear Valley resident and he recently achieved the rank of black belt in Kang Chuan Do. He is a Sensei and student as well as an instructor of martial arts. When growing up, Tony played football and wrestled for nearly 6 years. He then became a Muay-Thai boxer and then a “pit-fighter”. Tony started RAW Fitness, which was located by the airport, where he and Chris met and decided to work together on providing Big Bear Valley a far greater fitness experience.
Balance is Everything
While Tony and Chris come from totally different life perspectives, they have both come to realize that balance in all things is a prerequisite to enjoying life. Whether it be your work, fun, friends, family, spiritual development or physical fitness we believe everyone should strive to bring a sense of balance to their somewhat chaotic world. We firmly believe that being strong and fit physically is the foundation for making the other challenges in one’s life much easier to deal with.
